We saw steady growth in installs and active users, higher activation and repeat sessions, and improved 30-day retention. App quality and performance also improved, with a higher crash-free rate and faster launch times. Core feature adoption (e.g., map usage, event browsing, notification opt-ins) increased, App Store ratings trended upward, and our release cadence and time-to-publish content from the CMS to the app both improved.

Their project management was excellent—structured, transparent, and reliable. They ran a clear sprint cadence with weekly check-ins, shared action items and risks early, and kept us aligned on scope and timelines. Milestones and deliverables were consistently on time, with no surprises at release. When our priorities shifted, they handled change requests smoothly, adjusted the plan without drama, and communicated impacts right away. Overall, they were responsive, solution-oriented, and easy to work with.

Their attention to detail stood out in every phase—from UX nuances to edge-case handling—resulting in a polished product. They brought a highly skilled, cross-functional team that could move from discovery to delivery without hand-offs breaking down. Equally impressive was their organizational rigor: clear plans, proactive communication, and dependable execution that kept the project on track.

While the team was highly responsive and consistently accommodated small, short-notice changes, large urgent changes were harder to absorb due to limited immediate capacity. For future, higher-stakes initiatives, building a stronger backbench would help—i.e., maintaining a readily available pool of vetted engineers and designers who can be activated quickly for surge needs. This added depth would preserve delivery velocity on the main roadmap while enabling faster turnaround on unexpected, large-scale requests, without compromising quality or focus.

Merixstudio was responsible for developing a brand-new mobile app for both Android and iOS, using the cross-platform Flutter framework. We had an old app and wanted to rebuild it from scratch on a new tech stack. Merixstudio helped us from the initial stages through the release of the first version. Moreover, we still work with them regularly, implementing new features and providing necessary updates. The app included features such as product categories and listings, purchase process, checkout, and payments, as well as reviews. It is essentially a fully-fledged e-commerce app mirroring our existing web shop.

I’m the product owner of the Fluid Care Portal within the Business Innovation Group at HYDAC.

We needed support with software development.

Merixstudio has provided us with backend and frontend development, architectural guidance, and security guidance. We've built a software system that supports system maintenance strategies. We take oil samples from machines and have laboratories around the world testing these. Based on that, the fluid care portal becomes an asset management tool that monitors the maintenance activities.

We work with two backend developers, one frontend developer, one QA specialist, one product manager, and one designer from Merixstudio. We have an internal backend developer who acts as the tech lead on our side.

I wasn't the one who found Merixstudio. We got in contact with them and had an initial meeting where they understood the concept of what we were doing very well.

We have a lot fewer bugs within the software than before. We have a structured QA process now, and our security standard is a lot higher now because we went through a longer security process. The architecture of the software is a lot better now as well. In general, there have been a lot of improvements.

Merixstudio has met our budget. We use Jira and GitHub for project management. We communicate via Google Meet and Slack.

There are always small things here and there, but in general, everything has been really nice. We can’t expect more from them than we have right now.

Be honest and communicate with them. Trust what they are doing because they are the experts. Challenge them and ask questions.

However, for one of our scoring processes, particularly for our clinical exam, where we were doing a lot of manual, human error-prone processes to process scores for our candidates, we’ve cut staff time by almost 60%.

The team has a strong set of staff members who oversee the project and ensure it meets the requirements. The team uses Jira and Confluence, and they give us access to those boards so we can have complete transparency into what they’re doing. We also use Slack to message and share documents. We have weekly calls with the project manager to discuss any items coming up, and we also have design reviews with the UI/UX team. In addition, we have sprint reviews with the whole team to learn about the new features being deployed.

Merixstudio is super comfortable pushing back whenever the quality of work is threatened by scope or timeline. Their team focuses more on quality than just saying yes to every request.
