Health Technology Wales (HTW) is responsible for delivering a strategic, national approach to the identification, appraisal and adoption of new health technologies into health and care settings across NHS Wales. We cover all health technologies that are not medicines. This could be medical devices, surgical procedures, telemonitoring, psychological therapies, rehabilitation or any health intervention that isn’t a medicine.

They weren’t just executing tasks—they were thinking critically, asking the hard questions, and often proposing smarter alternatives. One moment that sticks out: during a user testing session, they noticed non-native English speakers struggling with a key navigation icon. Instead of just noting it, they immediately brought us alternative iconography and tested it again within the week. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare.

The final handoff included all the essential assets and style guides, a few backend configurations weren’t fully documented, which required us to circle back for clarification a couple of times post-launch. However, their team was always responsive and handled follow-ups promptly, so it never became a blocker.
