The project focused on the design, development, and implementation of an innovative virtual reality laboratory created to support education, research, and innovation activities at the university. The scope of work included concept development, VR environment design, technical implementation, and the creation of immersive experiences that can be utilized across multiple academic disciplines.

The project has now been completed, and its primary outcome is the successful launch of the NeuroLab and the creation of a foundation for integrating virtual reality into academic activities. The NeuroLab is scheduled to be incorporated into teaching and learning activities starting from the Winter Semester 2026/2027. As implementation progresses, the university expects the platform to support innovative teaching methods, research projects.

YORD demonstrated excellent project management throughout the collaboration. Communication was always professional, friendly, and responsive, and the team was highly attentive to our needs and feedback. All deliverables were provided on time and according to the agreed schedule, ensuring a smooth and efficient project process. The team was proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented, making the collaboration both productive and enjoyable. We were very satisfied with the overall experience and would highly recommend YORD as a reliable and innovative partner.

What impressed us most was YORD's ability to combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of our academic vision and long-term goals. Rather than simply delivering a VR solution, they took the time to understand how the technology could support education, research, and innovation at the University. Their creativity, professionalism, and collaborative approach helped transform an initial concept into a functional and future-oriented platform. Scope of Work and Key Deliverables

While formal metrics are still being developed, the project has demonstrated early success through strong engagement and positive public response. The VR app has been featured at multiple community outreach events, where users expressed enthusiasm and curiosity about electrification. City staff reported that the immersive experience helped spark meaningful conversations and made a complex topic more accessible.

YORD demonstrated strong project management throughout the engagement. They consistently met their timelines and communicated proactively about dependencies and potential impacts to the overall schedule. When reviews or approvals took longer than expected, they remained flexible and clearly outlined how shifts in timing would affect next steps, helping us stay aligned.

What stood out most about YORD was their creativity in translating our goals into engaging, interactive experiences. They brought fresh ideas to the table that helped us think beyond our original concept—such as proposing the supplemental web application to broaden access or introducing games into the VR app. Their ability to balance technical execution with user-focused design made a real difference in the outcome of the project.

At times, we found that more frequent check-ins would have helped keep everyone on the same page. We had to specifically request a few meetings when things weren’t quite aligning, but once scheduled, those conversations were productive and helped move things forward. The time difference caused occasional communication gaps, but that was expected and generally handled well.

I am a manager at Bentley Motors. We're in the automotive industry.

We needed help with a mixed-reality application. We were investigating a mixed-reality app similar to VR headsets. Not to mention, we were adding a digital overlay onto the physical world and needed external help.

The team helped us develop and design our mixed-reality app. I provided YORD with an RFQ and a document explaining what we were after. They did creative work and provided a document showing different creative options we could proceed with. From there, I selected elements I liked and disliked.

I was in contact with Michal, the project manager, and various team members, depending on what phase we were in. I also spoke with Adam, YORD's CEO, at the beginning of the engagement. Overall, I worked with about five different key people.

It was word of mouth and my own experience. I visited another company in the Czech Republic where YORD is based. They had an event going on, and I saw another product from YORD being advertised there. I was very impressed with the visual quality they offered and the product's in-depth capability.

We spent around €30,000.

We worked together from October 2024–January 2025.

YORD delivered an app version in between proposals since it gathered the best bits of their different creative options. This was an internal application, so it wasn’t public-facing.

The project slipped a couple of weeks, but that was due to us not providing the data quickly enough. Every time YORD promised to deliver a product by a certain date, they delivered it every single time.

The quality they produced for the size of their team was impressive. Although YORD was a relatively small team, they had amazing talent and could produce amazing content.

Because YORD hadn’t worked with Bentley before, it took a week or two for them to understand our brand and exactly what we wanted from it. It was a little longer than a company we’d worked with a few times before. That was their only pain point. However, I’m sure that would improve if we worked with them again.

Create a clear document showing exactly what you want the project to be and what you don’t want it to be. YORD is a smaller company, so they’ve got to focus their resources correctly. They don’t have much opportunity to waste time, so it’s better to be efficient with them.
