Our project for xFive was to build a video housing website that could organize, package, upload, and sell large amounts of film all in a centralized site. Some of the key deliverables were to provide backend users the ability to create small snippets of each play throughout a game, then label those clips by stat and player.

The project was successful, delivered on-time, and within our budget. We can now succesfully begin contracting with events and start selling our film packages to events.

A project manager oversaw the communication between us and xFive. Our project manager coordinated weekly or biweekly meetings with us. These meetings allowed their team of specialists to ask us specific questions, show us their progress, and to give us updates on upcoming deliverables.

Their ability to understand our business and develop unique ideas to solve our problems was impressive.

I manage the education platform for the sales section at MegaGen, the European headquarters of a global dental implant manufacturing company. My role involves overseeing and developing our internal learning management system (LMS), which is used to train our sales teams.

We needed a new partner to support and further develop our internal education platform.

xfive is responsible for the development and maintenance of our internal learning platform. Their work includes managing the handover from our previous developer, addressing proprietary technologies, and implementing custom changes to the platform.

We've worked with four people from xfive: two developers, one project manager who also handled QA tasks, and our main contact, who is the lead director of the company.

We were working with a bespoke web host developer and were having issues with them. We searched for other options available. We searched for European web development companies using standard search engines, reviewed top developer lists, and consulted AI chatbots. Per our review of the available information, xfive seemed like the best option. After evaluating several options, we selected xfive as the best fit for our needs.

We pay €2,125 monthly for our subscription, and after about 13 months, our total investment is approximately €27,000.

Our partnership with xfive began in October 2024 and is ongoing.

xfive has restored our site to a functional state within one to two months after the handover, despite the challenges with proprietary technologies. xfive put in extra time initially and was flexible with how they moved their time around our monthly hours to ensure the site was operational as soon as possible. xfive's UI changes are nice and have made the site more user-friendly, resulting in significantly improved engagement.

xfive has consistently met deadlines and stayed on budget, except for the search function, which is a complex project, and we've run into some issues. We initially used Trello for project management, but have switched to Jira. We communicate using a mixture of Jira, email, and monthly Google Meet calls.

xfive's general attitude as a company is impressive. They understand our situation, and having them as partners is easy. xfive isn't restricted by guidelines and is flexible, even creating a bespoke offer for our needs. Regarding budget and timelines, they've been flexible because we run on a budget.

I can't think of any areas where xfive needs improvement.

The scope of work covered the end-to-end design and development of the MVP version of a self-publishing platform dedicated to independent musicians and multimedia creators.

The project resulted in the successful delivery of a fully functional MVP of the platform, enabling us to onboard early users, launch real content distribution processes, and validate the business and technical assumptions of the product.

Project management was well-structured and transparent. Deliverables were provided on time, communication was clear and proactive, and the team was responsive and flexible in addressing our needs and feedback throughout the project.

Honestly, their execution was flawless. The only area for potential improvement would be more exposure to innovative features or functionalities they’ve implemented on other projects. It would’ve been great to see examples of what's possible—things we might not have thought of ourselves. That kind of inspiration could have helped us explore even more creative directions for our own site. That said, I’m not sure it would’ve changed the final outcome, which we’re extremely happy with.

We worked with a team of developers from another company to build a MVP education platform that provides video coursework to customers. There were multiple issues with the build and so we brought xFive on to fix development issues throughout the site which included subscription flow issues, blog and survey errors that wouldn't save appropriately, user group bugs and more. We also asked them to build out new functionality that required third-party integration with our CRM and various APIs.

This project is still going, but success has been measured by demonstrating an effective and efficient customer journey that takes the user from sign up to completion of course material without error. Additionally we have integrated with a CRM which after xFive's development changes has allowed us to track business actions and their direct impact on our client's earnings.

They are very communicative and update me regularly with regards to usage of allotted hours to accomplish tasks. They are very responsive and recognize (and check in) on the serverity of requests to reprioritize the most pressing.

I've worked with xFive in the past and what continually impresses me is their quality of work no matter who you're working with within the organization. They're also very resourceful and provide multiple options to build out or remedy existing platform issues to ensure we're comfortable with the path forward and not spending unnecessary resources. Each member of the team has also been direct and on top of our needs. There hasn't been a task or project yet that I've given them that they haven't understood or been able to remedy. Having that type of comfort with a development company has been hard to find in the past and it's one of the reasons I keep coming back to xFive.
