U1CORE approached the project with a strong focus on clarity and user intent. They began by studying how different types of users interacted with our platform, from parents searching for a tutor for their child to university students looking for specialized academic support. This research phase uncovered several friction points, particularly around tutor discovery and booking.

After launching the redesigned platform, we began to see meaningful improvements in how users engaged with our service. Users were able to find suitable tutors more efficiently, and the time it took to complete a booking was noticeably reduced. We also observed an increase in successful tutor-student matches, as users had a clearer understanding of each tutor’s strengths before making a decision.

U1CORE maintained a very organized and transparent workflow throughout the project. Timelines were clearly communicated, and deliverables were consistently provided as scheduled. What stood out was their ability to listen carefully and adapt to our feedback without losing momentum.

The collaboration was highly successful, but if there is one area where U1CORE could further enhance their service, it would be in providing more structured guidance on long-term UX evolution after the initial launch. While the foundation they delivered was strong, additional insights into how the platform could continue to evolve based on user behavior would have been valuable.

The project involved a complete redesign and overhaul of the marketing section and the course catalog section of our platform. The deliverables included: a UX study and audit of the existing website, a new information architecture, a complete interface design system in Figma, front-end development in React, configuration of the WordPress CMS with custom content types for courses, instructors, and curricula, integration with our existing backend for registration and email automation, an SEO migration plan to maintain existing search rankings, as well as post-launch support during the first weeks of the spring cohort. U1CORE also created an internal preview environment for our marketing team to test new course pages before publication—a feature not included in the original brief but which became one of the most-used features after launch.

Page load speeds on the main course pages have improved by approximately 60%. Course registration conversion rates increased by about 30% during the first six weeks after launch, which we attribute primarily to the updated course search algorithm and checkout process. The bounce rate on the homepage has decreased significantly. Our content team now publishes new course pages independently—what used to take three to five days of coordination with developers now takes only a few hours. SEO rankings remained stable throughout the migration, which was a real challenge at the beginning, as organic traffic is one of our primary customer acquisition channels.

Project management was one of the strongest aspects of our collaboration with them. Given the fixed deadline, they implemented the project in weekly sprints, each of which concluded with a clear demo. We had a shared board where everything was tracked, and the weekly workflow ensured there were no surprises—we always knew exactly what was being done and what was coming next. They completed the work on time. Around the third week, there was a point when the scope of work began to increase (mostly due to our fault—we were constantly adding small requests), and they immediately pointed this out, rather than silently taking on the extra work or allowing the deadlines to slip. We had a frank conversation, agreed on which items would be moved to the second phase, and stayed on schedule. Communication took place via a shared channel on Slack and weekly video calls. Response times were consistently fast, usually within a few hours during business hours.

When we proposed solutions that didn’t actually meet our users’ needs—overly complex navigation, certain animations that hindered performance, or a feature that didn’t fit the actual learning path—they spoke up about it, explained the reasons, and offered alternatives. This approach is rare and truly valuable. We paid for expertise, not just execution, and they provided us with both. It’s also worth mentioning: they understood the context of education. They asked about our students’ demographics, their devices, how they typically find courses, and what concerns they had about online learning. This influenced design decisions in ways a typical web agency couldn’t have achieved.

They also worked on performance optimization, enhanced security, and ensured a smooth migration of all existing content from our old system, making the entire transition seamless for our team.

Thanks to the platform developed by U1CORE, our organic traffic increased by 64% within three months of launch, and the average session duration rose by more than 40%. The number of completed lead forms increased by 82%, and the bounce rate decreased significantly thanks to the improved user experience developed by U1CORE. The new CMS implemented by U1CORE allowed our in-house team to publish ads and content without involving developers, saving us approximately 15–20 hours per month on operational tasks.

The initial phase of concept development with U1CORE took a little longer than we had anticipated, although, given the quality of the final result, the extra time was well worth it. If we had had a clearer timeline for the requirements analysis phase from the start, it would have helped us plan our internal processes more effectively. However, this is a very minor point compared to the overall excellent experience of working with U1CORE.
