Techstack company handled everything end to end. They provided AI and deep learning expertise, full web development, cloud architecture, and quality assurance. Their scope included building a deep convolutional neural network model for face detection and matching, creating a web portal where users could search photos by selfie, bib number, or event timeline, and integrating watermarking and payment features. They also restructured our backend into a serverless cloud setup to cut hosting costs in half while keeping the performance rock solid.

The results were exactly what we hoped for. The AI-powered matching worked across a huge variety of image conditions, allowing event participants to find their photos within seconds. Photographers could upload, tag, watermark, and sell images directly through the platform, which simplified their workflow and opened new revenue opportunities. Event organizers no longer had to manually store, sort, or distribute photos, which saved a massive amount of time and effort. On the business side, the backend refactor immediately reduced ongoing costs, which will have a long-term impact as the platform grows.

The whole process felt seamless. Every milestone was met on time, and they kept communication open so we always knew exactly where things stood. It felt less like handing off a project to an outside vendor and more like working with an experienced in-house team that took real ownership, caring not just about getting everything technically right, but about making sure it truly met the product’s needs and delivered value to the users.

Techstack’s team designed a simplified interface specifically focused on heart rate monitoring, then developed the mobile application using React Native for both iOS and Android.
