I needed help with creating teaching materials.

Takeaway Reality helped me create AR teaching materials for my class. For this project, we specifically focused on developing a 3D visualization of a flyball governor. The key deliverable was a web-based app for the students to use to interact with a steam engine and understand the physical principles of how it works.

I worked with two teammates from Takeaway Reality: the owner and a technical member in charge of the actual app development.

I found them on Google and decided to work with them due to their price. They were the only company willing to do what I wanted within the amount of money I had available.

I spent around £3,000 (approximately $3,600 USD).

We worked together from November 2022–February 2023.

Takeaway Reality delivered what we initially discussed. Thus, I measured the success of our engagement by looking at the app and whether it did what I asked them to do. Moving forward, I’ll use this app for teaching, so I’ll get feedback from my students on whether it serves its purpose or not.

Takeaway Reality met their deadlines and delivered everything in a timely fashion. We communicated via email exchanges and Microsoft (MS) Team meetings.

Takeaway Reality offered a great price. Additionally, they’re a small company, so I valued the fact that I interacted with the owner a lot. He was very invested in ensuring that the project succeeded and the app worked correctly.

Takeaway Reality’s communication could have been better. There were a lot of stages involved in developing this app, one of which was getting a 3D model. Past that point, I wasn’t able to go back and make changes to that model, which wasn’t obvious to me that it was the case. Possibly, Takeaway Reality did communicate that situation, but it would have been great if they made it very clear that the 3D model was a point of no return.

The app I built with Takeaway Reality helps me teach quite an advanced matter that requires a third-year-level engineering degree. If I was to go through this project again, I would spend more time initially going through all the ideas of what I want to teach so that they can understand everything in detail. If you’re also developing educational software, take a lot of time to ensure that Takeaway Reality understands what you’re trying to teach.

I am the Marketing Manager for a major tech company and lead line of business strategy and go-to-market for our 3P retail consumer sales organization in the US.

The objective of this project was to utilize the growth in gamification and drive innovation by developing a couple games as a way to create an interactive and engaging launch moment to drive demand around a new product feature that is part of our subscription service.

Takeaway Reality was on a list of vendors who provided the type of game development solution we were seeking. Based on extensive conversations, concept and pitch reviews and case studies shared, we felt they were the right fit for our needs due to our trust in their ability to innovate on our original idea and to deliver in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Once we kicked off the project and locked on final game development concepts, the Takeaway Reality team quickly took all of our brand assets and guidance and immediately got to work on providing the game flow / UI mock-ups that aligned to our vision. Each stage allowed for internal reviews, feedback rounds and approval flows to ensure we were in lock step during development across all key stakeholders.

We worked primarily with Mario, CEO of Takeaway Reality, who was nothing short of remarkable during each step of the process. He was consistently available to answer questions both over direct calls and email and was an incredible resource for our team. As needed, additional team members joined meetings and email threads to support our project.

We have been launching this campaign in phases and is currently ongoing, but the initial results and feedback have far exceeded our expectations. As we continue to socialize our games internally and look for opportunities beyond our direct team to promote and market the game, the constant theme has been that we are the embodiment of innovation and are leading the way in thinking differently about how we engage, educate, and connect with our customers. That alone is a huge win, but from a pure results standpoint, we also have an amazing story to tell as we are delivering strong results with time spent in game at nearly 5 minutes, average game sessions near 2, and strong CTR engagement with our call-to-action at about 2%.

Incredible. I could not be more pleased with how responsive, engaged, and easy to work with their team was. The flow from start to finish was excellent and our needs were constantly met or exceeded.

This being our first time working in the game development space, they were so good at educating us, answering complex questions, collaborating across our many stakeholders and being thought leaders throughout the entire project. If there was a blocker, they were first to jump in with multiple solutions and share recommendations, which kept our momentum moving forward to always deliver our next milestone on schedule.

I'm the CEO of a software development company (Orion Labs) that specializes in the development of digital business solutions, mostly web and mobile apps.

We hired TAR to help us to design a VR chatbot experience.

They initially came to us with lots of opportunities to explore. We initially looked into making the Chatbot experience in AR, but the chance to have a VR chatbot was too exciting.

Throughout the project, TAR were great in maintaining frequent communication with us. They kept us informed with any changes which were occurring.

We mostly communicated with 3 people from one of their teams specialized in VR. Their project manager was quick on responses and informed us about every important step in the process.

We are very grateful for TARs work. They were very happy to work with us too as they were eager to gain refine their skills within the field of VR. Currently, we use their consulting services in the XR field, as their team has shown to have deep and relevant knowledge of both Virtual and Augmented Reality.

From the beginning, we were informed about every major step in the process and it really made everything much easier as we could decide on important elements in time.

Their dedication to not only deliver the solution but give their best to optimize the overall VR experience was just extraordinary.

I’m the conventions and events manager for a medical device company that produces implants and screws for osteosynthesis.

We started having a lot of virtual events since COVID-19, and we wanted to be more engaged in the virtual context — so we needed a company to provide us with AR game development.

They developed a web-based AR game for our upcoming events from scratch. To get into the mobile-friendly game, users will have to receive a link or scan a QR code. We initially gave them a corporate guide so they can implement the requirements into the game.

We’re in touch with three people and our main point of contact is the project manager.

We had an internal project group and we did a lot of research on possible providers. My colleague got a recommendation for them and they responded immediately to send us a proposal that met our expectations.

We’ve spent €10,000 EUR (approximately $11,800 USD).

Our ongoing partnership started in March 2021.

We used the game for two big events. One had around 80 participants who played the game, while the other one only had five players. I don’t know what the effects were for the target groups, but we needed to evaluate a lot of factors. Right now, we’re planning to create a big marketing campaign for the whole company, so that the game can be used for all kinds of events. We hope to increase our player base for the game as there are no other competitors who have executed this concept.

They perform well and I found the cooperation between our teams to be very pleasant. Communication is always fast and direct, as we have several chat groups on WhatsApp. In addition, they’re very supportive and open to revising implementations we don’t like.

We’re very impressed with their communication. We wanted an AR solution because no other companies have thought of implementing that solution, and Takeaway Reality was the only company that could provide it — the price ratio was good for us as well.

They could’ve been better with the time frames, as they didn’t always complete the tasks on schedule.

Have a good idea of what you want, provide them with details, and be on time with schedules.

I’m the senior manager of customer experience for Cinco. We’re a marketing company based in Montreal, Canada, and with offices around the world.

If I could clone their two project managers, I would — they’re amazing. They respect the timelines and deadlines. We communicate via Fiverr, email, and phone, and we have bi-weekly Zoom calls and meetings.
