New features have been delivered across our three core products which have modernised our application interfaces and web applications. The new features enable greater insights for customers and reduce labour costs in store. The solutions have been truly full stack encompassing data engineering, data science, orchastration, API and web apps.

As product engineering was new to our company we had some initial challenges with prioritising items and ensuring scope was clear. This led to some delays but Software Mind intervened and brought in their own technical project manager / software delivery manager who helped to bring things on track and improve the processes for our company.

The ability to work fully remotely was key for ourselves as we are a global organisation. The account management was also very impressive with a genuine desire to exceed expectations and intervene ahead of any issues. There is a willingness to go above and beyond and provide insights and learnings on other innovations which makes them feel more of a partner than a vendor.

I am the Engineering Manager at a software company that transforms how employers connect with their employees by providing personalized benefits to over three million users worldwide.

We needed a team of software developers who could work as another team in our codebase, handling both frontend and backend development in Java and Angular.

The scope of work was to create a content management system embedded in our system. Over the course of more than five years, they have become a team that maintains the codebase. They are responsible for the markdown and embedded CMS editor in our system.

I do not know how we initially found them, as the collaboration began before I took over management of the outsourced software developer team.

We selected them because they are close to our geographic location and their pricing fit our budget.

The engagement started in January 2020 and is ongoing.

There were 2-5 teammates from Software Mind S.A. assigned to our project.

We successfully launched the content management system and editor into our platform, and have seen continuous improvements and maintenance of it. I do not have specific metrics or qualitative feedback to share at this time.

Our primary forms of communication were virtual meetings and email or messaging apps.

We managed the project with the software developer resources provided by Software Mind S.A.

They were able to learn and adapt to our coding standards and ways of working, and they fit well with our company culture. Collaborating with their managers is easy and smooth, and they are open to suggestions, feedback, and improvements.

There were a few moments early in the engagement where alignment on internal processes and expectations required some extra calibration. However, once we clarified those, the team adapted quickly and integrated well with our workflows.
