Scope of work was to develop an application to consume data from databases created by a SCADA a data aquisition software and create dashboards reports as well as alerts and notifications. The apploication has two types of logins. Admin and Users. The admin had an interface which helps in configuration of the application while the users can access all the reports as per their roles. The Project also involved development of Mobile apps both for Android and IOS.

The Mobikasa team was very proactive in responding to the requirements. They were never reluctant in alignig and realigning with project deliverables. The timelines given them were always accurate and relaible. This helped us in being confident while making commitments to our clients. The project management was very professional.

They devoted a lot of time to discovering and analyzing the functional requirements so that rework was minimised. All the team members were extremely sincere, focused, and had a very positive approach towards the project.

We wanted to establish an offshore development team.

We have an in-house product team. MOBIKASA is an extension of our team and is responsible for collaborating on the engineering side of our product. Our product team leads product discovery and architecture, and MOBIKASA is responsible for technical leadership, planning, development, and QA. Their work is purely developmental.

We work with Ankit, one of MOBIKASA's founders; Jai, our dedicated product lead; Ankit, our technical lead; and a team of roughly seven engineers and QA staff.

We found MOBIKASA through a referral. We conducted a deep dive investigation across the US and nearshoring options in South America. We also included MOBIKASA, which is based in India. Their quality of response, technical knowledge, and price point led us to choose them as our preferred provider.

We started working together in December 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

In the first three months, we focused on onboarding them because it was a pre-existing product that they needed to take over. Now, we're tracking progress based on the velocity of ticket resolution and new feature delivery.

MOBIKASA has met deadlines and stayed on budget. We've leveraged Trello and GitHub as our shared code repository. We have two standing weekly meetings: one operational-focused and one development-focused. We communicate actively daily through Slack and Trello.

MOBIKASA's thoughtfulness in maintaining and promoting the accessibility of our product has been their most impressive asset.

The biggest challenge with any offshore partner, not only with MOBIKASA, is the time zone difference. It's a monumental lift to take over a pre-existing product and codebase. Nonetheless, MOBIKASA has done an excellent job of taking on the challenges and the complexity of our business rules and the healthcare environment.

Communicating deadlines and success criteria for acceptance of the work is critical. Performing due diligence before providing MOBIKASA direction on the business requirements to reduce rework is also vital.

They could be a bit more flexible with their pricing. They charge a bit higher than others, which can sometimes affect customers.

Whatever changes you want them to do should be properly documented. As the client, it is your responsibility to understand each and every change that is being made. Moreover, the conditions for the engagement should be mentioned in the contract.
