KOTA designed a wholly new website based around the latest Web GL technology.

When we set out to redesign UPP’s website, we knew we needed more than just a sleek digital portfolio... we needed a site that felt like us. Something elegant that would blur the lines between web, technology, and cinema, and reflect who we are: an artist-led, tech-forward company creating work at the highest level for our industry partners.

KOTA hit benchmarks and deadlines on time. They were incredibly communicative and responded quickly to requests and changes.

Their overall mission statement aligned with ours as a company. They are about pushing boundaries in the same way that UPP is and so we found the communication easy and productive.

We were an odd client for KOTA from a project management perspective: our personnel and timelines continually shifted as our business delivery cycle sped up. As a result, we had to ask for deliverables faster than expected, and KOTA was always accomodating. They gave us the space we needed to ensure we could maintain flexibility in the scope of work to take away exactly what was right for us.

KOTA were incredible partners through and through. They were attentive, responsive, and communicative — they offered extra time to us to talk through decisions, and they revised the work eagerly when we had feedback or requests. They were flexible but dependable; willing co-collaborators that felt like a very capable extension of our own internal team.

Would have loved a running list of deliverables or project tracker we could reliably refer back to — so when our timing needs changed, we could have easily seen what needed to give or take. But otherwise super happy with the process!

The team’s project management was excellent. They were highly responsive, organized, and proactive in addressing our needs throughout the process. Deliverables were provided on time, communication was clear (loved how easy BugHerd was to use), and they consistently ensured we felt supported at each stage. Overall, we were very pleased with how Kota managed the project and guided us through it.

What impressed me most was how personable the team was. They never felt scripted or transactional the way agencies sometimes can. Their approach felt authentic and collaborative, which made the whole process much more enjoyable and easy to trust.

At times there was a bit of back-and-forth around who should take the lead on content outlining/design decisions, which created some minor confusion. That said, it felt more like a natural part of collaboration than a real issue, and overall the process still went smoothly.

We wanted a brand new website, from scratch. The goal was to make it as user friendly as possible, as our products are quite complex, and to share more insight into who we are as a company and what we do. The visuals needed to make a good impression and assist the text in communicating our ideas.

Site visits: still early but on track to do incredibly well. Also, website performance metrics all met with high grades. Finally, lots of extremely positive feedback.

I'm the managing director of Playfords Ltd, a leading UK building services company specializing in electrical, mechanical, and data cabling solutions for complex projects across sectors such as education, health, retail, commercial, and industrial.

We wanted to capture the history of our company, which is 100 years old, but also refresh and modernize it. We wanted to make it stand out from the crowd and take it to a new level by recognizing the past but having a distinct approach to the future. It was also important to highlight the key things Playfords does and how we work.

KOTA rebranded our company and developed a new website. Regarding rebranding, all elements from the logo to the color palette, fonts, and business cards were included. Our website was built from the ground up.

We worked with 4–5 teammates from KOTA.

A personal contact who works for KOTA referred them to us. Their proposal was fresh and captured exactly the brief we discussed. They offered a significantly better proposition than any other offer we had.

Our brand recognition has increased dramatically, and the complete project has had a great impact. We saw a 100% increase in brand recognition.
