Coherent Solutions provided an experienced architect to assist with technical design and estimates for a proposed software solution. This solution is cloud native, and as a greenfield solution leverages cutting edge, best-in-class technology and best practices. Our product team provides detailed user stories and examples of customer use cases, and the Coherent team works collaboratively with us to identify the appropriate design and solution to meet the need.

Our team manages the development team directly, participating in daily scrums, prioritizing stories, and monitoring stories completed. The availability of the product in Production for our customers and its continued stability demonstrates its success.

We did not leverage project management services from Coherent Solutions. However, they are generally very responsive when I come to them with needs for special skillsets or consulting services. They are collaborative and supportive, which I very much appreciate.

They are able to make experts available in many areas of knowledge whenever the need arises.

Junior staff are difficult to support on a project with limited staffing across many time zones. Perhaps being more transparent, originally, with how staffing decisions could/would impact the rates might have resulted in different decisions.

I’m the director of the Drive Smarter Platform at Cedar Electronics, a technology company that owns Escort Radar and Cobra Electronics. We create innovative solutions to enhance safety, awareness, and connectivity for people on the move.

We hired Coherent Solutions to get our app back on track. We had a unified dash camera and radar detector app with the intent to replace legacy apps and support our new products. The app had been struggling for two years, so we brought Coherent Solutions in to fix it. However, by the time I joined the team, it became apparent that we had to do a redesign and a big refactor.

Coherent Solutions has cleaned up and debugged the current codebase and made recommendations based on that experience. The team has redesigned the app and mapped out a plan to do so. Coherent Solutions has gathered requirements, come up with the design, and refactored the app. The goal is to move the app’s rating from 1.3 stars to a minimum of 4 stars.

We’ve worked with 25 teammates from Coherent Solutions at full strength. We’ve scaled the team down to 16 now.

Coherent Solutions was already onboarded to the project when I joined the team. We had moved from an Asia-based team to Coherent Solutions. The team was referred to us by the previous product owner, who had just left the company.

We started working with Coherent Solutions in January 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

We’ve moved from 1.3 stars in the Apple App Store and 1.6 stars in the Google Play Store to a solid 4+ stars on both platforms. We’ve introduced CarPlay and Android Auto and started monetizing customers without our companion hardware. We’ve had 20% growth year-over-year (YoY) and a 246% engagement increase. More people use our app, and they use it more frequently and for longer periods of time.

Coherent Solutions has delivered on time and within budget. We communicate via Microsoft Teams and email.

I’m impressed by Coherent Solutions’ approach. I like their communication style; they’re direct, open, and honest. They do what they say and say what they do.

Coherent Solutions provided UI/UX design, tech stack design, database design, and frontend development. We had a requirements document that I gave to them. We met and discussed the requirements, and then they went back and put together a proposal. Coherent Solutions designed and developed a patient portal for survey collection using Figma, which was branded for our customers.

We worked with a UI/UX designer, a systems architect, a project manager, and a frontend developer.

We had very few bugs or rework during the development process.

Coherent Solutions has always been very responsive. If they don’t have someone currently assigned to the project who knows the answers to something we’re getting into, they’ll find somebody to pull in.

The Coherent Solutions team is very professional in communicating accurate timelines, progress against timeline and budget, and the impact of scope extensions. Ultimatley, the first release of the core features was on a very short timeline and Coherent delivered.

The ability to work with a full-stack team of talent makes the creation of enterprise-grade software straightforward. With a team of business analysts, designers, architects, DevOps, developers and QA; Coherent provides all the resources for a product owner or product visionary to transform an idea into a reality.
