After spending a lot of time in-house cleaning up and optimizing our codebase and implementing a new design we decided to get more hands on deck to accelerate the progress.

We're mid-build, but we're already seeing tangible wins. After cache and asset optimization, our hosting/runtime costs dropped 40–50%, and page loads are faster across key templates. Core Web Vitals now pass on the pages we've relaunched, with visible gains in LCP and TTFB. On the SEO side, early leading indicators are positive: better crawl efficiency, more pages in the index, and initial movements in rankings where the redesign is live. On delivery, we ship to production weekly and keep a tight feedback loop - new features or fixes, with fast turnarounds on any issues. Eighty percent of high-traffic pages are already redesigned, and the rest are queued behind analytics-based priorities.

I've led project management on our side. We plan scope together up front and work in small, near-weekly iterations, which keeps releases smooth and on time. With that cadence, we haven't missed planned release dates, and the code quality has been consistently strong - clean, well-reviewed, and stable in production. Even without a dedicated PM from their side, Cleveroad's account manager stays close to our priorities and is quick to help the engineers adjust when we need changes.

What impressed me most was how flexible and fast Cleveroad's engineers are. When I asked for an additional frontend engineer, they sent a strong candidate within a day, scheduled the interview inside a week, and had the person starting two weeks from the initial request. The onboarding was easy and well organized. Working directly with their developers, I see a high level of involvement and expertise - they show up prepared, offer smart, proactive suggestions, and take ownership from start to finish.

At the start, our sourcecode was about ten years old, with no framework upgrades whatsoever. The scope was to refactor the code and to add structure because there was none. Upgrading to all latest frameworks (.Net, React Native) was also included. The upgrading project was estimated to six months and was delivered on time. The test/fix-phase took another six months before we could upgrade the production environment.

Our collaboration with Cleveroad focused on receiving experienced Flutter developers to support our existing projects. Cleveroad helped us design and develop a digital office for educators, which stores all the information regarding the requested resources and allows them to submit new applications for Betabox. Key deliverables included: - A clearly defined platform scope and product development roadmap based on our workflow analysis and business logic review. - A comprehensive Software Architecture Document aligning the technical foundation with Betabox’s long-term educational vision. - End-to-end UI/UX design, covering all educator-facing features and an intuitive admin interface.- A prioritized feature list focused on usability and business impact, covering document workflows, user and asset management, and secure access permissions.

- Completion of a structured product discovery phase, resulting in a validated scope and detailed delivery roadmap based on workflows - Establishment of a collaborative, sprint-based workflow, enabling transparent progress tracking, weekly demo reviews and uninterrupted delivery. 6 The work remains ongoing, with the MVP targeted for piloting in select U.S. schools. The collaboration with Cleveroad laid a strong operational and technical foundation for launching the Betabox product in the 2025–2026 academic cycle.

As a result of our cooperation with Cleveroad, we successfully deployed our cross-platform mobile app to the Play market. Cleveroad’s fontend developer helped us to significantly improve the platform’s user experience as we added more ways to manage our partners’ accounts. The work is still in progress, so we keep improving and adding new features.

Project management is organized on our end. Our CTO plans all activities with the development team and works on all estimates and possible bottlenecks. Usually ,we have no issues with timelines, but if any problem appears, Cleveroad’s dev proactively engages in resolving any of the issues. We are flexible in terms of communication, as all chats are handled in our Slack channel.
