Black Propeller provides us with PPC marketing services on Google.

In the beginning, we had a discovery call where Black Propeller learned about our requirements and goals. From there, they presented a proposal, and we began working together.

Annie (Director of Growth) has handled the discovery call. Now, we mainly work with Mary (Senior Account Manager) and their director of paid media.

I found Black Propeller through Google Ads, and I read quite a few Clutch reviews before making a decision to reach out to them.

We’ve invested around $12,500.

The engagement started in December 2023, and it’s ongoing.

We’ve seen an increase in ad spend and have achieved a 15% rise in ROAS. Overall, Black Propeller has exceeded our expectations. Although I thought there would be a learning curve and they might not hit the ground running, they’ve shown progress since day one.

Everything they’ve done has been within the budget we’ve established, and their communication style has been absolutely wonderful. For tools, we’ve used emails, Google Meet, and Google Documents.

Mary has been truly hands-on in terms of learning about our goals. She’s done a fabulous job following up on all of those.

Black Propeller’s biggest strength is their ability to understand our needs and strategize to achieve them.

No, there aren’t any at the moment. We’ve only worked together for five months, and our communication has so far been positive.

Before having a discovery call, think through your goals and ensure you can communicate them on the call. If you can articulate your needs clearly, they’ll find a way to work toward that. As the client, you must do your part to voice out and communicate what you’re trying to achieve. If you don’t have a clear understanding of that, then Black Propeller won’t also have it — and the results will not be as good as you want.

We hired them to run a PPC campaign for us.

We originally left a review in 2019 after paying Black Propeller $500 for services they never delivered. There was no scoping call, no onboarding, no communication—nothing. Not a single task was completed, and they made no effort to understand our business or initiate the engagement. When we requested a refund, they refused.Now, in 2025, they’ve finally responded—but only because it’s considered best practice by Google to reply to all reviews. Their reply is a generic, rehearsed statement about “transparency” and “professionalism,” carefully crafted to protect their public image while brushing over the fact that they took payment from our company and delivered absolutely zero in return. Let’s be clear: they didn’t respond because they care about what happened. They responded because they care about how it looks. They’ve made no effort to resolve the issue or take accountability for taking money without providing any service. Their focus is not on righting a wrong—it’s on optimizing their Google profile.

When we requested a refund, they refused. This is not a miscommunication. This is a company that accepted payment under false pretenses and refused to issue a refund, despite never initiating any part of the agreement. That’s not a misunderstanding. That’s unethical.

The scope of work was to fix the Google Ads account after a previous vendor made it unprofitable. Black Propeller was tasked with launching new campaigns, as well as designing ad creatives and a new landing page.

Nick, Jessalyn and Larissa did an outstanding job on meeting the main goal of the account which was to get the Ads account back on track by launching new campaigns and creating new ad creatives. The outcome of the project were qualified leads at a lower CPA.

Black Propeller was outstanding to work with. I worked with Nick D at BP, and I highly recommend him specifically. If you have the opportunity to work with anyone at BP, I'd recommend going with Nick. He's a true expert in PPC and was able to provide in-depth analysis and accurate guidance on tough strategic decisions. One memorable experience working with Nick was when I adamantly disagreed with him on a strategy choice, but he helped me understand where I was wrong. You don't want a PPC agency that agrees with everything you say—you need someone who knows what they are actually doing. Nick knows what he's doing; he also has a great attitude and excellent communication and client service skills. He goes above and beyond.

Every moment working with Nick at Black Propeller, I felt my account was given the utmost attention. Nick made me feel that our account was a priority. He truly felt like a member of our own team and not an outsourced vendor. That level of going "above and beyond" is rare, and I commend Nick for it.

The onboarding could have been a bit faster - but I think they were busy researching. It might just be a requisite.

Black Propeller has worked with us to increase our visibility on Google and Meta through various campaigns including remarketing. They've done research on keywords and strategies to best attract consumers. They've also built a landing page to direct clients to that is built to encourage them to submit a lead form for catering services.

The team at Black Propeller is constantly striving to increase our leads. We have had some internal challenges with lead tracking but Black Propeller has worked with us through feedback of the leads to ensure that we are maximizing our visibility and effectiveness through language, keyword selection and in Meta, images. Our cost per lead has decreased overall.

The team is always very helpful and quick to respond. Whether its an issue that needs to be resolved or just a question. They are always available to help and if it isn't directly in their expertise they help get the answers from other members of their team that can help even if it's beyond the scope of their typical work.

Over our time working together what I value the most is the connection I feel that we have, they have learned about who our company is and also how I work and we work well together. I know that I can ask them any questions or make suggestions and they will be not only received but also implemented if applicable or I can get direction on how I can be implementing it in other areas that we don't necessarily work together on. They are very dedicated and knowledgeable about what they are doing, and I know that we're in good hands.
