I’m a real estate agent in the Greater Boston area, and I work for a brokerage firm.

We needed a new website.

Big Red Jelly designed and developed our website. We gave them an example of what our old website looked like, but they built the new one from scratch. Regarding design, the team had templates from other agents in our office. They provided several options to choose from, and we picked the one that looked best.

We worked with one person from their team, Ammon, who did design and development work.

They were recommended by my company.

We spent $1,200.

We worked together from December 2024 to January 2025.

The final product was good. It’s too early to tell the impact of Big Red Jelly’s work, but it helped us schedule Zoom appointments through the website. One of those appointments was with someone who wanted to sell their house and buy a new one, which was our original dream outcome.

Big Red Jelly stayed on budget and delivered the website before the deadline. The team was very reasonable and negotiable on pricing as well. Moreover, they were excellent regarding time management, since they worked through the holiday season. We communicated via email and Zoom.

I want to give a shout-out to Ammon. He did a great job and was thorough and responsive.

Big Red Jelly delivered what they promised by the time they said they would. We genuinely liked working with Ammon; he was sharp and pleasant. We would work with him again. Ultimately, the team was better than other developers we worked with, and their pricing set them apart from competitors.

There were multiple scheduling issues. In fact, we had to reschedule a couple of appointments, which was frustrating. As a real estate agent, my schedule is essential, and I base my entire day around when I need to meet with people. Besides, I wish we didn't need to tell them to make edits or to take care of other obvious things.

Figure out your vision on your own. Big Red Jelly will implement it well, but the clearer your vision is, the better. They’re not real estate agents or entrepreneurs; they’re website designers. Don't expect them to figure it out for you; things will go more smoothly.

While there were some delays initially, particularly around the busy holiday season, he was transparent about the challenges and took full responsibility for the delay. Once he followed up, he was incredibly responsive to my needs and ensured that all requested edits were completed promptly. His communication was clear and professional, and he provided helpful guidance to make the process smoother, such as instructions for uploading blog posts. In the end, he exceeded my expectations with his attention to detail and dedication to completing the project to my satisfaction.

What impressed me most about Big Red Jelly was their ability to take my vision and translate it into a website that perfectly reflects my brand and business. Their design expertise and attention to detail made all the difference, and the final product feels both professional and uniquely tailored to my needs. I also appreciated their clear and thorough communication, especially when providing step-by-step instructions for managing my website independently moving forward. Their commitment to ensuring I was happy with the end result truly stood out.

One area for improvement could be maintaining communication during the post-project edit phase. Ammon’s communication was very timely and consistent throughout the entie initial project window, which I really appreciated. The two-week edit window following the project was delayed due to the busy holiday season. While I completely understand how hectic that time of year can be, a brief update during the first couple of weeks of January would have helped manage expectations and eased any uncertainty about timelines. That said, once Ammon followed up, he was incredibly responsive and made sure everything was completed quickly and exceeded my expectations, which more than made up for the initial delays.
