I’m the CTO and co-founder of a digital library company. We digitalize music sheets and provide access to one of the world’s most comprehensive sheet music libraries regarding classics.

We aimed to offer a service for Spotify for musicians. For example, if someone wanted to play Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, or whoever else, they could search for sheet music, scores, and different publications in the digital library. Due to certain technical reasons, we were searching for a native code professional specializing in Swift and with experience in C++.

Unicsoft has provided developers with the experience we need. Also, they’re good at understanding security; since we’re simply streaming the content, we need to ensure the user data is protected well. They’ve helped us find the right people, onboard them to the team, and get the job done. Initially, we gave them the job requirements, and they started sending pre-selected candidates. We interviewed them and accepted some of them. Now, their people have become part of our team; some of them still work with us.

We started with one developer and then grew the team. We had an iOS developer who isn’t with us anymore, and we’ve had another senior iOS developer who was promoted to team lead. Currently, we’re working with a senior C++ engineer.

One of our colleagues worked with them in the past and referred them.

We began working with them around February 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.

Our users are pretty happy, and Unicsoft has done an excellent job. They’ve handled the project and been responsible. They’ve delivered on time, and the quality of the implementation is high — there’s a significant degree of tech coverage. Also, we have the proper automation in place.

They’ve performed very well. They haven’t missed deadlines, at least not from their team. We’ve had some delays, but they were caused by more general issues. The team is usually punctual; they notify us upfront if something happens. We typically communicate via Slack and use Jira and Confluence as project management tools.

Their reliability is their strongest point — they act and deliver on their commitments and don’t overpromise things. We’ve worked with other providers who were unclear on what they could achieve. Unfortunately, those experiences were pretty frustrating. With Unicsoft, everything has been well-orchestrated from their side.

No, things have gone well.

Be particular with the requirements; you should immediately articulate what you want. Ideally, it’d be good to have mock-ups, a description, or documentation to hand over or share. Also, be quick in the communication; they answer quickly and in detail.

We contracted Unicsoft for development work to cover accessibility and some areas of e-com. The development coverage was needed to stay on track with project timelines and resource avaliabilities.

Goal is to bridge project development needs required by Unicsoft whom provided the resource with cost effective resources available to assist in a short time period.

We identified specific skill sets which Unicsoft was able to supply list of candidates to interview, conduct online development testing before interview is scheduled. Once all criteria were meet, we extended the contract to the candidate. We provided a monthly touch point and review candidate's performance. Should the candidate not perform we have option to find another suited candidate. So far we had a handful of great candidates we used on our projects.

We had kick off meetings, standups, sprint plannings (agile ceremonies using Jira) and regular communication through slack.

Total of 5 software developers used. 3 are active as front end engineers.

Completed all the Accessibility work identified. The development had testing and validation with code reviews to ensure quality submitted to production is minimal bugs, 1% or less.

Engineers and Product Managers are the point of contacts during daily standups and sprint planning. The monthly touch points are meet by the account manager along with the Sr Director of Engineer, Sr Director of Product and Director of Program Management. Slack message are used as communication channels as developers are in different time zones. Jira are use to track development and success of feature development.

Cost-effective with vast skills that is easily identified to onboard quickly in a short time. Their flexibility to pivot projects due to priorities is impressive, and the resources' ability to adapt quickly to medium to high English as their second language is important for communication.

When code is released to production, bugs found are quickly addressed. The timezone makes it slightly challenging when hosting standup and sprint planning as it would be the middle of the night for some developers based in Ukraine. Which we have separate Product Managers to assist on special projects to move sprint planning early day vs late in the evening for compromise.

I’m an executive at a company that provides blockchain-based solutions and services to the sports industry: clubs, fans, athletes, venues, and sports associations.

The challenge with existing solutions is that fans are not very confident about paying for blockchain items through cryptocurrency. We needed to provide them with ease-of-use access to the services. Our company develops these services, and we’ve hired Unicsoft to build their technological framework.

Unicsoft provides us with blockchain development. Initially, we gave them a rough idea of the services we wanted to provide, what could be handled via blockchain, and how. We started with a discovery phase which we budgeted separately, analyzing what we aimed to provide. They showed us how they would solve individual solutions. Then, they made a commercial offer for the programming work and the blockchain development. Now, the team plans the services and solution builds.

We had discussions with numerous blockchain development companies where we explained our aim, and they explained what they could provide. Our team screened the candidates, and we decided to go with Unicsoft based on their approach, experience, and geographical location.

We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

We’ve measured the project’s success based on the usability of the tool that went live a few weeks ago. This is the first product we’ve deployed with them, and it’s very nice-looking, and the UX is good. Moreover, the near-field communication is functional, and the backend is made up nicely. We haven’t done extensive marketing since the solution has only been live for a short while.

In these types of projects, finding a matrix and establishing a control mechanism is important, and we’ve found a very professional way of working with the Unicsoft team. We’ve set up our agreements; we budget any additional requirements separately and create addendums.

I’m impressed with Unicsoft’s high level of professionalism. They were initially based in Ukraine, and during the development process, the Russian Invasion started. The team had an emergency plan, and we only had a 2–3 week interruption of development before they settled their operations in other locations. Through this transition, they never let us feel the pain they were going through nor the concern they had for their family members.

I don’t see any areas they need to improve.

I’d advise being transparent about your vision and organizational structure. This approach is key to short decision-making processes because Unicsoft can only perform as quickly as you decide which way to go. In many development projects, the developers are blamed for poor performance when the real issue is the client’s decision-making process.

I'm one of the co-founders, acting as a product owner and responsible for our roadmap and making sure customer requirements are translated into the right features.

We offer a no-code platform to support engineering teams in construction projects. It allows users to build their own data model and user interface (views, etc.) to support their own processes such as requirement management, risk management, etc. The high configurability of levvr, requires a certain level of abstraction that is uncommon in most software applications. In order to maintain our scalability, we needed to set up levvr in a distributed way while keeping in mind various needs such as changing metamodels, a mechanism to update project data accordingly and for example to be able to capture data changes (history management). Both on the setup and actual development, we were supported by Unicsoft.

We found Unicsoft through a referral and immediately had a great feeling due to their professionalism in terms of communication and defining scope.

Over time, we worked on setting up a backup mechanism, an alerts dashboard, implementing a circuit breaker pattern, building an audit log feature and implementing E2E testing. The Unicsoft engineer was involved in our sprint rhytm.

We were able to succesfully deliver all features within budget & time. The built audit log gave us a significant competitive advantage as it very difficult to imitate.

The engineer was involved in our own sprint rhythm, jira & slack environment. He was on time for meetings, communicated clearly about bottlenecks, and managed expectations very well.

Our company is supporting businesses in the sphere of car fleet management, including insurance, claims management and repair. I work in company as Head of IT.

We work with Unicsoft as partner, which help us to support, refactor and extend in-house applications, including UX, web and mobile development.

To optimize our costs and get access to bigger range of services we explored and evaluated East European market. Current vendor was 1 of 4 selected by us vendors in prescreening. We have chosen this vendor based on recommendations and costs.

As one of the results we were able to automate process of collecting information on car damage. This functionality shortened service time for repair preparation.

We are working in agile approach, using Daily and Planning meetings with team. As communication tools we are using MS Teams, Git, Azure DevOps.

Most impressive is ability to adjust and find resources to very specific and unique customer needs. The quality of their work is always at a high level.
