We wanted to increase our sales.

SEM Nexus provides us with mobile app development and digital marketing services. They mainly handle our app’s maintenance and some development work. They also manage our marketing efforts, which include SEO, SMM, and PPC. Their team runs our ad campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and Google.

We’re mostly in touch with three people from their side: Michael (Founder & CEO), Marco (CTO), and Wiam (project manager).

We found out about them through a Google search.

We’ve spent about $25,000 on this project. If we include the advertising budget, the total would be around $30,000.

We started working with SEM Nexus in May 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

Since working with SEM Nexus, our app downloads have increased from 200 to over 5,000.

They’ve always followed through on every promise and met our goals. We also have weekly meetings and goal-setting calls with their team. We communicate using Google Meet, phone calls, and email.

I want to give a shout-out to Michael, Marco, and their project manager, Wiam. All three of them have been very helpful and instrumental in the success of our project. They’re very hands-on, personable, knowledgeable, kind, easy to get in contact with, communicative, responsive, ethical, and professional. Developing and spearheading comprehensive digital product marketing campaigns for a new marine and pleasure craft boating app. This includes orchestrating both organic and paid advertising strategies on Meta platforms, complemented by innovative content creation. Deliverables:

We exceeded our initial download goal by five times, and our CPI was below the industry average. Additionally, SEM managed the budget with great care, allowing us to do more than initially planned.

Initially, we experienced a somewhat bumpy start, taking about a month to acclimate to each other and align our communication. However, after this initial phase, the process became much smoother, largely due to the exceptional work of our campaign manager. She excelled in her role, consistently and mostly on time preparing detailed reports, keeping us informed about the campaign's progress, and suggesting necessary improvements to the app to optimize outcomes.

The team’s adeptness at budget management in relation to our app’s goals is remarkable. Unlike other marketing agencies, which insisted on needing more budget to achieve our objectives within our specified timeframe, this team demonstrated exceptional skill in working effectively within the given budget constraints.

The reporting and summarization of metrics for the weekly meetings could be improved for greater clarity and effectiveness. Additionally, there were minor delays in the delivery of some social media posts, which still arrived on the correct day. These delays were due to communication issues between our software tool and their system.

SEM Nexus first came on board as our digital promotion partner. However, while coordinating with our previous development team, we noticed the professionalism and expediency the SEM developers brought to the space. We switched all development to SEM in March of 2023. This included optimizing the existing app to run more efficiently and enhance UX as well as improve our data stratification tools within the app and backend webadmin area.

Our experience with SEM in both the development and marketing realms has been a pleasure. The principal partners are very hands on, invested, bring a high level of technical and relational aptitude to all matters. We can trust the SEM's team to be professional and kind with our other strategic partners as well as always demonstrate proactive measures to iterate and improve our app.

SEM has delivered all items on time or ahead of time. They are incredible about prep and anticipation of future needs making the iterative process seamless and fun.

We initially hired SemNexus to handle the marketing side of our app development project. As we got to know them better, we recognized we should have gone to them first for app development. We successfully pivoted from our app developer to take both the development and marketing of our app to SemNexus. Best decision we've made! Key deliverables to date have been the app and marketing of the app, both of which are in progress.

The team consistently has done what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. After a very disappointing app build using another company, we've been blown away with the constant communication and updates on our project.

Everything has been on time, and all communication is responded to quickly. Mike and Marco have been extremely receptive to our needs, and always respond to emails promptly. If ever we have further questions, they have offered to jump on a call to clarify. They always make us feel like a top priority.

We were a little intimidated at first hiring a company based in Manhattan, as we thought they might be out of our budget. After the initial meeting with Mike, we knew we had to work with them because his style of communication is very much like ours. He is honest, helpful and to the point. Within moments, we knew he was very bright as he pinpointed our needs immediately.

Wiam, our campaign manager, had sent us a marketing strategy first, then did some keyword research for us and audited our website. Once that was done, she set up Google Analytics and started the ad campaigns on Facebook and Google. We also used Smartlook to check user behavior and Adscapsule to monitor campaigns

Wiam and Mike have been super responsive! We get weekly email updates and meetings with them. Projects are managed very organized & everything has been very timely.

They’re very knowledgeable on any topic we bring up, and they always figure something out when we stump them with a question.

There was a learning curve when we first started. I think they could do better at showing their clients exactly how and why they do what they do.
