We tasked Phenomena Studio to make us illustrations and motion graphics that suited our color palette, but we demanded creativity and active involvement in the understanding of our niche.Phenomena Studio understood everything completley and without hesitation made us the perfect design and assets which we have today.

They always delivered on time, and whenever they couldn't reply they would inform us upfront of any vacations.

They understand our niche very well and do research, unlike many other UX/UI companies.Infact we had to switch between 5 other UX/UI designers before reaching Phenomena Studio, we ended up staying with Phenomena Studio.

Well, Phenomena Studio claims not to do UX/UI design. But I must say; we have developed so much Illustrations and Motion Graphics that they ended up improving my UX/UI design as well.However it would be nice to see Phenomena Studio more confident about their UX/UI design capabilities, they are capable of doing it.

We wanted to transform My IELTS Guide from a basic online study tool into a smart, personalized learning platform. Our goals were to use AI to create custom study plans for each student, improve the user experience to stop students from dropping out during practice tests, and add real-time progress tracking for both students and coaches.

The impact was transformative. The platform became completely stable, even during high-traffic mock test periods—no more crashes. Student engagement doubled, with users spending more time and completing more practice modules. Coaches saw their admin workload drop, giving them more time for personalized teaching. Most importantly, students improved their scores significantly. For example, Raj from Mumbai raised his writing band score from 5.5 to 7.0 in just two months by following AI-recommended exercises tailored to his weaknesses.

Phenomenon Studio’s project management was outstanding. They hit every major milestone on time using bi-weekly sprints and transparent tools like Jira. When we asked for a last-minute payment gateway integration, they delivered it within days without affecting the launch timeline. Their daily check-ins and proactive updates—such as flagging third-party API risks—kept everything running smoothly and ensured we were always in the loop.

What really set Phenomenon Studio apart was their mix of technical skill and deep understanding of education. They didn’t just build features—they paid attention to how students actually learn. For example, when their lead developer noticed students quitting long reading exercises during testing, they suggested and built a “chunking” feature that broke content into smaller parts with instant feedback. This greatly reduced drop-off rates. Their support after launch was just as impressive—when we found a rare bug affecting left-handed tablet users during writing tasks, they quickly fixed it without hesitation.

Early in the project, communication between their backend team and our coaching staff occasionally required extra clarification.

Phenomenon Studio migrated and rebuilt our app using Flutter for both Android and iOS. After signing the contract, we held several meetings with their design team to define the app’s new look. Once development began, I stayed in constant contact with their team. We later met in person to test the product and resolve any issues together. The app launched in May 2025, and Phenomenon Studio now provides ongoing maintenance.

Our app is the most important product we offer, and it has been widely adopted, with around 60,500 installations so far.

Communication with Phenomenon Studio has been smooth through email and Zoom. Although we faced some challenges due to the outdated technology of our previous app, Phenonmenon Studio responded promptly during the migration process, making necessary adjustments and informed decisions. We also collaborate using Jira.

What impresses me most about Phenomenon Studio is their deep understanding of the technologies they use. I particularly value that the team is young and eager to innovate an essential factor for me when choosing to migrate and redesign an app. Seeing their drive for innovation, we gave them more freedom to present design ideas, and we adapted to their vision. Innovation is one of Phenomenon’s key strengths, and they consistently demonstrate it throughout the project.

The only challenge we've faced working with Phenomenon Studio is the time zone difference. However, we always receive a response from their team.

Moreover, they provide ongoing maintenance and track web performance through Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to ensure our website remains effective and up-to-date.

Their development team was incredibly patient while going over project specifics and presenting cost-effective solutions. Additionally, their designers welcomed our feedback and helped us reorganize the site in a manner that best served our community's needs. Not once did they refuse any of my requests. We effectively communicated project details through G Suite and Basecamp, streamlining the entire process.

The entire Phenomenon Studio team was a pleasure to work with and excelled in communication. They made a concerted effort to engage with us in detail, ensuring that I felt supported and at ease throughout the project. Their availability 24/7 was particularly reassuring.
