I work for Revionics, a company part of Aptos Retail. We focus on helping large-scale retail companies gain insights into their pricing models through a data science engine. My role in the company is director of UI/UX, so I work with the design team and the research team to facilitate product development.

Prior to our engagement with Fireart Studio, we didn't have a UX team; we hadn't adopted that model yet. Therefore, we wanted Fireart Studio's help to build complete UX and research teams and introduce the company to a new era of product development.Our goal was to have a team capable of conducting user research to dictate the designs that the UX team would create for the development team. Basically, we wanted to rebuild the process our product team followed. Moreover, we had a couple of legacy platforms that were about 15–16 years old, so we wanted to reenvision how those platforms would work in a new environment.

Fireart Studio has helped us build our research and UX teams from the ground up. Currently, we have a couple of contractors from their team working for us as UX designers and UI developers. These designers have basically created a new design system, including color palettes, page templates, and layouts.Basically, they've given our development team the foundation to work from so that they could create an entirely new technology stack and a new system using those designs. As for the technology stack, we use the MEAN stack, which uses Angular, Node, and MongoDB. On the design side, the designers primarily use Figma to create the designs, which they then share with the development team.

Currently, Fireart Studio provides us with two UI developers and three UX designers.

My predecessor, the former director of UX, was the one who found Fireart Studio and set up the initial engagement. Although I don't know how he found them, he spoke very highly of them and brought in the initial designers who helped us build our product.

We've spent somewhere around $250,000.

The Fireart Studio's UX design team has done a fantastic job of taking input from our user research team and envisioning what that could look like on the new platform we're developing. Most of the designers and developers we currently work with have been working for us since the beginning.Now, Fireart Studio is considered one of the core teams at Revionics because what they create dictates everything else that follows — they lead our work in that regard. Overall, Fireart Studio supplements our team in a very positive way.In terms of quantitative outcomes, I can't really provide a valuable metric. Fireart Studio creates a lot of content for us, so there are always new designs coming out. Thanks to their work, we've been able to set up three new platforms. For example, we've launched a new product for Revionics to offer, which has been created entirely based on Fireart Studio's designs.Additionally, we've launched a product for large-scale retailers, which was built using the designs our UX design team created. Now, we're preparing to release a new product that leverages the looker system to display large-scale data in a very consumable way. That product has been built around the same design system Fireart Studio has created.

Ownership is one of the main things Fireart Studio does well, and that's something I look for in all the teams we work with. I've been very impressed by how Fireart Studio's individuals and team managers take ownership and responsibility for the projects we work on. I can trust them to run with specific responsibilities. Moreover, they take the initiative to follow up and ensure things are improving, which is great.Overall, Fireart Studio's project management helps me because I can focus on higher-level initiatives, knowing that their team will take care of the things they promised to take care of.

I would like to give a shout-out to Anastasia (Head of Sales). She's our main go-to person whenever we need to hire a new designer or developer or make a change on the team. She's always been very helpful and receptive to feedback, and she always tries to make things better, so I would highly recommend her.Additionally, I would like to mention that all the designers and developers from Fireart Studio working on our team are fantastic — they're one of the best teammates I've ever worked with. I've worked with very large companies and some of the major startups in Austin, Texas. Fireart Studio's skill level is comparable to that of any of those other companies.

Among the things that distinguish Fireart Studio from other companies are the quality of their work, their ownership, and their responsibility. Whenever we need to make changes to the team structure, the Fireart Studio team does a great job of assisting us in ensuring we have the right designers and developers on the project. Overall, they're very receptive to changes and helpful.Moreover, Fireart Studio does a really good job of finding and identifying talent fitted for the project. In the past, we've changed one or two designers. Still, their team has been very receptive, helping us find suitable replacements very quickly.

Given that Fireart Studio's resources are not based in one location only, QC seems to be a bit more difficult for them. Still, we've only run into a couple of hiccups with them, and Fireart Studio is always cognizant of those challenges. Therefore, they're always looking to ensure that the resources they allocate to our teams are doing a good job and fulfilling their responsibilities. Although their QC could be improved, I don't have any suggestions because it's a challenging thing in general.That said, I just wanted to make it very clear that, although QC could be a challenge for them, we haven't had quality issues with Fireart Studio's work. The developers and designers who work for us are very good, and their quality level is very high.

Work with Anastasia and Fireart Studio's team to identify the designers and developers that you need. Their team is really good at identifying the right people.Moreover, give Fireart Studio's resources the opportunity to take ownership of the project. Although ownership is specific to the actual designer or developer, Fireart Studio's resources are very skillful and knowledgeable in that regard. Trusting them to take a project and run with it has worked really well for us, so I recommend doing the same.

We hired Fireart Studio to help us rapidly scale our team by finding UI/UX designers and bringing them up to speed. I needed a team that could come in, be in our product reviews, and integrate into our team and the tools we use instead of a traditional agency approach.

I initially provided Fireart Studio with an RFP. The team finds and provides UI/UX designers who collaborate in several projects of our company as required and have helped us design a new application.

I deal with the designers directly and individually, and I also have a main point of contact who checks in and supports administrative paperwork. The team of designers has a design lead who directs the other designers, but I talk directly to the entire team daily.

Fireart Studio delivers high-quality designs, and we have a new application that has gotten really great feedback from partners and customers. This app is our showpiece that we brag about. From my perspective, more importantly and subtly, the tight partnership with Fireart Studio has allowed us to set up a high-velocity design and research cadence, where we can seamlessly ingest different research, do iterative designs and validations, and react to them. This work cadence has helped us create better projects and products because we're tightly coupled with Fireart Studio.

If I need an additional designer to evaluate them, the core project management works in a sprint cadence and is integrated into our Jira with stories from our product managers. The designers consistently overdeliver exactly what they commit to every two weeks.

Evgenia (Product Designer & Lead), Igor (Motion Designer), and Hanna (Product Designer) have done great work.

I've worked with several offshore partners and can't think of anything for Fireart Studio to improve — they're an ideal partner.

I suggest being a good design partner. Any design company you work with will do better work the clearer you are and the more information you give them rather than only giving open-ended problems and wishing the team found the right solutions. Fireart Studio will match the amount of work you put into the relationship and exceed it. You'll get the most out of the team if you work closely with them.

We approached Fireart for help in redesigning a vital section of our website. We asked them to provide templates for multiple pages that would build on our existing brand but provide a step forward in terms of quality. Within less than a week they returned some wire frames, which after a brief review round they turned into full designs that would fit very well with our website. The project was managed professionally from Fireart's side, and it came through under budget. We were very happy with the end result, which are now live on our site.

The main goal was to replace an eight-year-old static website with an modern one that would be easy to navigate for users. On our side, we desired a robust CMS, with good user/role management, as well as a way to easily recover content should anything get lost.

The creation of the new https://wetransform.to/ website. Since the project end, more content has been added, as well as a German version of the site.

We worked from January - November 2022, over two phases. The main scope was finished in June-July, followed by tinker time and the implementation of a few additional features. We communicated well, through a mix of Slack, e-mail, and regular online meetings.

The people. It's great to work with professionals who genuinely want to find the best solutions. In addition to this big website project, we often work with Fireart for image assets and what I find really pleasant is that we consistently get results that are a strong mix of our ideas and their expertise.

I don't have any real detractors, but at various stages I did think that it'd be really cool if there was some progress dashboard I could visit to see how individual parts of the project were coming along and ensure things weren't forgotten without having to bother our PM.

Fireart Studio has designed our app’s UI; they’ve also submitted a proposal on how to improve the UX and its accessibility. At the start of the project, we provided them with a description of our company and our competition. We also told them what we wanted to achieve as a company. The brief we provided highlighted insights into our app development.

When setting up the partnership, we worked with 4–5 teammates. Now, we’re working with a project manager and design engineer.

During the design project, Fireart Studio delivered on time and responded quickly to our requests. They were able to quickly ramp up the project using Figma; we had a good experience working in that environment. They had a very professional approach to the project.

It has been a pleasure to work with Fireart Studio. This has been the first time we’ve utilized outsourced services, so I have been slightly wary of the outcome. Happily, the partnership has gone very well. They’ve fulfilled all of our requests.

Their English-language skills could be improved, although I believe they’re working to address that.

I’d recommend hiring Fireart Studio — their professional team can quickly onboard customers. Also, it is nice that their team can properly estimate costs for their services.
