We needed to build a simple app where hikers, families, and students could learn about local species and habitats, see nearby conservation projects, and sign up to help.

AppMakers USA met with our educators and field staff, then sketched easy screens for a map, trail cards, species pages, and “how to help” actions (volunteer, donate, report an issue). We got a plain content plan (Hebrew/Arabic/English), photo and icon guidelines, basic safety notes (seasonal closures, fire risk), and a step-by-step build timeline with costs. I am not a person well versed in technology so I did have a lot of questions and concerns and they took the time to address them. They made changes based on my suggestions. They encouraged my feedback and we spoke frequently throughout the project. I was always able to reach anyone at the company and they were very responsive and respectful. I thought it was unique that the company was built because of a bad experience working with an app builder. So, they take pride in their service and their name. Also, if you are like me, not well versed in technology they are a great resource to advise you. I was so nervous to try to create something that I had never done before. I needed help and I found it.
